Quality Assurance Manager – Home

Job Accountabilities

• To maintain overall Connor Group QA policies and procedures to ensure consistency in QA procedures and documentations. Update the procedures and create the standard formats where necessary.
• To set up the new QA policies and procedures where instructed by Corporate QA Director and train Connor offices on the preparation of new QA performance indicators.
• To manage the monthly and regular submission of QA performance indicator reports to ensure the accuracy and submission of these indicators for top management reference.
• To analyze the QA performance indicators and triggers the alert to QA management on negative trends for improvement opportunities by Connor offices.
• To provide technical know-how and quality assurance support to QA division and merchandising teams of Connor offices to solve related problems.
• To prepare the Corporate QA training materials and train local QA associates, on a need basis, of Connor offices worldwide to enhance quality consistency.
• To assist the clients in establishing the quality manual / procedures / standards as requested and maintain and update the clients’ quality assurance manuals with a view to distributing the most updated version to all Connor offices worldwide.
• To study the quality manual of new clients. Summarize the ambiguous, unclear, erroneous and unique quality requirements for clarification with new clients.
• To prepare monthly group-wise quality reports to clients where applicable and required.
• To provide technical / quality solutions to Connor clients worldwide.
• To maintain a good working relationship with the 3^rd party lab testing laboratories and liaise with them for potential external trainings to our local office associates.
• To perform additional QA duties as necessary to meet Corporate requirements.

Job Requirements

• Tertiary educated in manufacturing engineering, production engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Professional qualification in quality assurance field.
• At least 8 years’ experience in quality assurance / quality control of apparels, home products and hardlines in a managerial capacity of a multinational buying house. Experience and knowledge in Furniture is a plus.
• Familiar with quality standards and requirements of US and European markets
• Good interaction and communication skills
• Willing to travel and work independently
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Good understanding of cultural differences
• Worked at corporate level would be an added advantage
