B2B Client Manager
Role Overview
The B2B Client Manager is responsible for building, managing, and expanding strategic relationships within a B2B operating model. This role ensures client satisfaction, drives commercial growth, and serves as the primary point of contact across all aspects of the client lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and deep expertise in B2B sourcing, merchandising, and product development.
Job Accountabilities
- Own and manage global client performance within the B2B model, including overall relationship management and commercial growth.
- Develop and lead global vendor strategy, partnering with in‑country merchandising teams to set vendors up for success and assist in the creating customer‑specific SOPs to standardize execution.
- Direct and oversee client sourcing activities across multiple Connor office locations and cross‑functional teams.
- Serve as the internal voice of the client, influencing product roadmaps, operational enhancements, and strategic decision‑making.
- Strengthen and maintain client relationships through consistent, high‑quality execution across all Connor offices worldwide.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising teams to anticipate production challenges, manage risks, and deliver effective solutions that meet client requirements.
- Lead all client meetings, providing clear communication, structured follow‑ups, and regular performance and progress reports.
- Coach and develop internal team members and relevant country merchandising personnel to elevate capability and performance.
- Support broader team and company objectives, undertaking additional duties as required to contribute to departmental and organizational success.
Job Requirements
- Tertiary education, preferably in Supply Chain, Sourcing & Merchandising, Business, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in a management role within a sizable organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex enterprise accounts with multiple stakeholders across geographies.
- Hands-on experience operating within a B2B business model, specifically in sourcing, merchandising, and product development. Experience in Home categories is preferred.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial/business acumen.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable managing ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment.
- Relationship-driven, with a strong client-first mindset.
- Collaborative and influential, able to guide cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
