Team organizing skills – giving timely, specific feedback & coaching & providing challenging assignments & opportunities for development
Training the teams on the job & provide small training sessions where ever applicable
Identifies & addresses long term staffing needs with competent people & retains them
Encourage the teams to achieve /establish challenging performance standards & a desire to excel
Working with the teams and providing clear directions/guidance to work effectively
- Business Development
Manage Client Relationship & Client Service
Prepare Vendor strategy and choose the best source
Critically review new opportunities and guide team and vendor with best offer
Work with vendors in innovation as per client needs / latest trends
Manage Vendor Relationship
Client Visit Preparation/Trips
Analyze trip requirement with clients
Strategize plan of action against each requirement and closely monitor the same
Review and finalize client files and product displays
Closely work on vendor wise open issues and offer best possible solutions
- Development Process management
To lead, guide, manage, review proceedings in all steps of development process
Weekly review of Development trackers
Sample progress review
Pre-empt ,analyze and resolve critical issues
Involve vendor, client, seniors, QA and others as required for closure of open points
Critical cost negotiation with vendor, related communication and closure with client
- Production Process coordination
To lead, manage, review proceedings in all steps of production process
Weekly review of critical production alerts with the team
Involve vendor, client, seniors, QA and others as required for closure of open points
Identify high risk product and lead team in closely monitoring the progress
Actively participate in Pre-Production meetings of identified high risk products
Troubleshooting – Determining root cause of the issue & give best alternatives to vendors and client to reach best amicable solution
- Communication
Effective client and vendor communication
To preempt any communication gaps within teams and corrective action
To work with team on improving communication skills as an ongoing training
- To perform additional merchandising duties as necessary to meet Connor requirements
Job Requirements
- Tertiary educated in hardgoods or related disciplines
- 10 years’ experience in the industry with at least 3 years’ experience in supervisory level
- Strong product knowledge in hardgoods
- Knowledge in USA and/or Europe market is preferred
- Fluency in spoken & written English is prerequisite
- Flexible to travel
