Quality Assurance Inspector- Home Hardgoods – Based at Istanbul

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Evaluates a wide range of  home hardgoods product groups in accordance with quality assurance procedures.
• Strictly follows established standards and systems set by our company and required by our clients.
• Maintains close relationships with affiliate counterparts in merchandising and takes responsibility for delivering quality specifications.
• Identifies faults in the product / packaging within prescribed quality control procedures. Has the ability to work with the Vendors to rectify the same
• Recommends methods to improve product quality. Ensures that in-house QA systems are being maintained in factories
• Effectively conduct Pre Production meetings
• Conduct inspections, including material, initial in-line, mid-line and final inspection in vendor premises as per client requirements. Make a final decision on quality according to Client standards and requirements
• Record and report sample evaluations ; inspections findings and make decision of whether to accept or reject the shipment according to AQL acceptable level and specifications laid down by our client
• Prepare & submit all reports on time through tablet accurately & professionally on company’s internal MIS system.
• Issue Shipping permits for product that has passed final inspection.
• Perform technical evaluations on new factories.
• Should proactively work with the vendor CAP’s on technical evaluation, in order resolve all outstanding quickly & permanently.
• Need to keep the Quality Assurance Manager informed at all times on any exception to shipments, any production issues , any foreseen delays/ disrupts as & when required.
• Target to have no quality claims.
• To be up to date with clients manual , procedures and protocols
• Need to travel to factories in and outside Istanbul as and when needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Production Engineering / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
• 3-4 years’ experience in Production Operations / Quality Management in an Engineering concern / manufacturing organization / buying office
• Working knowledge of AQL Inspection system is a must
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Should be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Email Communication
• Job involves  travelling to various production locations
